Standards of conduct for a courteous, optimistic, professional, and friendly campus environment.

The code of conduct specifies the conduct expected of every student enrolled at Dr Vikram Aggarwal College of Arts and Science. Students should strictly adhere to this code of conduct to facilitate a courteous, optimistic, professional and friendly campus environment.

  1. Students are expected to arrive at the campus at 9.00 a.m and leave by 2.30 p.m. Students will not be permitted to leave the campus during working hours. Any genuine requirement to access the campus outside of the college's working hours should be made with the prior permission of the principal.
  2. Students are expected to greet and respect all faculty members on campus.
  3. Students must wear their College Identity Card at all times during working hours. Any student found without an ID card will be subject to disciplinary action.
  4. Students shall not leave the classroom without the consent of the teacher.
  5. Students must conduct themselves appropriately in the classroom.
  6. The College follows the attendance and examination regulations prescribed by the University of Madras. Attendance for classes and Continuous Internal Assessment (CIA) tests is compulsory. Students must secure a minimum of 75% attendance in each semester to be eligible for the Semester Examination.
  7. Students taking leave should submit the leave form without fail.
  8. Students are required to submit all assignments and academic work within the prescribed deadlines.
  9. Scribbling on walls and furniture, spitting gum, pasting posters, and littering on the campus will be dealt with severely.
  10. Vehicles should be parked in the allotted place meant for the purpose.
  11. Students are strictly prohibited from consuming, possessing, or being under the influence of alcoholic beverages, narcotic drugs, or any other intoxicating substances within the premises.
  12. Students shall not be members of any political parties and indulge in any form of political activities that will disturb the integrity of the campus.
  13. Any celebration within the campus should be organised only with the prior permission of the principal.
  14. Ragging in any form is strictly forbidden. Any student proven to be directly or indirectly participating in ragging will be subject to severe disciplinary action.
  15. Malpractice, cheating, or the use of unfair means in any examination or assessment will result in the student being barred from the examination and subjected to disciplinary action as per the College and University regulations.
  16. Students are expected to follow the dress code and always present themselves in a tidy, respectable, and professional manner.
  17. Students representing the College at intercollegiate meets or other events shall conduct themselves with dignity, thereby upholding the reputation of the College.
  18. During classrooms and other official college events, students are expected to keep their phones on mute. Misuse of mobile phones may lead to confiscation.

Students found violating any of the rules and regulations of the College shall be liable to disciplinary action, including suspension or dismissal from the College, depending on the nature and severity of the offence.
